These things work.
The snark is so handy. Its small and light, works on acoustic and electric, no cables need. Its so small and convenient that I can't find mine because my toddler was playing with it and I can't figure out where he hid it. What else can I say for a tuner? I guess its pretty accurate, you can tune your guitar with it if you go out. Fits in a gig bag for acoustic shows.

Reliable and low-cost
Reliable and low-cost in the same product? Yes, it's possible!
To be honest, my first impression when the GC salesman showed me a "fine and cheap tuner" was something like "OK, my bad. I should know that those two words sometimes just don't match together", but I am actually impressed: this tuner is the best option when you are surrounded by other noisy instruments, and the drummer is like "pum-badum-tsss-pum!" at the rehearsal room. Don't get angry! Just clip on the SN1 Tuner and do the job as smooth as it sounds, 'cause it tunes by the vibration of your instrument, not by sound! Great, isn't it? In theory, you could tune up your arm if it vibrated.
The SN1 is powered up by a CR2032 battery, just like that one that you find inserted in your PC's motherboard, so if it needs to be replaced, just go to the nearest Radio Shack, grab a bunch of them, and you're ready to tune up again.
EDIT:
After a year, it stopped working :(

Great Compact Tuner!
Personally, I Don't Find The Look Of Snarks On Headstocks All That Attractive, But It Does It's Job! Does It Really Good Actually! I Keep Mine On All Gig So I Can Tune Up Whenever I Need To, Or Can. Works Good On All My Guitars! I've Actually Seen A Friend Of Mine Have His LCD Visual Tuning Thing Behind His Headstock. Like The Look, But It's Not As Easy To Tune. In Multi Guitar Propped Up Cases Snarks On Every Guitar Would Be A Problem Though. Good Product, Just Unattractive On A Headstock (A Matter Of Opinion I Suppose), It Also Deducts Room For My Capo With My Slide On It. But It Really IS A Great Product.

Accurate, convenient, and affordable!
It's crazy (for me) that these only came out in recent years. These tuners are so convenient and they work so well. I remember the days of dragging KORG pocket tuners to jam sessions and practice, or shelling out big money for pedal tuners. Not that there is anything wrong with those products, but I have happily replaced them with this bad boy :)

Fast reaction. Bright, large display. Easy to operate.
The app on my phone has more functionality, so I can't say this is the best tuner on the market. I love my Polytune pedal (on my Equipboard) but when my pedalboard isn't around ... Snark provides silent tuning. Mute your instrument, and you can tune whenever you want without anyone knowing. You can also leave it on the entire time, behind your headstock, and glance at it during a song if a note sounds off. Although I have never done that, I know some players like to leave their tuners running.

It's actually very good. sometimes it glitches out a little but after a while of using it you'll be able to tune an instrument in seconds.

Original post here from July 2016. There are numerous Snark clip-on tuners, but the shape of the clip and the black color matches that of the Snark SN-1.
