LTD M-330R Review: I was disappoint with the pickups a little bit. | ESP | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The ESP LTD M-330R offers solid reliability and a comfortable neck, making it a decent choice for those seeking durability and playability on a budget. The guitar's aesthetics and build quality are commendable, but the sound falls short due to its underwhelming pickups and questionable soldering. While the clean tones mimic an EMG 81/85 set, distortion lacks punch, likely due to the stock battery or pickup settings. Though playable and durable, the need for upgrades, such as replacing pickups, may detract from its initial value proposition. Overall, it's a sturdy instrument with potential, but requires some tweaking to truly shine.

ESP LTD M-330R review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The ESP LTD M-330R is a mixed bag; it's visually appealing with a simple layout and delivers surprisingly decent clean tones. However, it falls short for metal enthusiasts, as the metal tones are largely unconvincing, lacking the depth and crunch expected for high-octane rock. While it offers some Strat-like qualities in clean settings, its active pickups don't live up to the metal pedigree it aims to associate with. Aimed at budget-conscious players, it presents a reasonable compromise, but those seeking genuine metal power might need to look elsewhere.

Great Guitar!

I got a great deal on this guitar, for some reason it was marked down pretty good at the guitar shop. It has active pickups, which produces a unique sound. I enjoy playing this guitar very much, but it cannot get 5 stars from me after I owned a Wolfgang, but still a very great guitar.
