Perfect guitar for the working musician

I have always been bothered by the idea of a road-worn instrument. It reminds me of pre-distressed jeans. But I picked up the 50s RW Tele and I couldn't put it down. The feel of the neck is what did it for me. Obviously each player will have their own preferences but I love the feel of a broken-in maple neck. The Tex-Mex pickups sound very good. Telecasters are built to withstand nuclear war but what I had not anticipated truly loving about this guitar is that since it is already in used condition I play harder on it. I still take care of the instrument but I'm not worried about it. I marked this 4 out of 5 solely because I don't like the look of some of the other RWs. If you can afford to get a custom shop guitar it will sound better. But for the regular working guitarist this is an ideal option to add to your arsenal.
