Description

The WZ-AD96 Analog to Digital Converter by Panasonic

The Panasonic WZ-AD96 Analog to Digital Converter is a professional 8-channel A/D converter designed for high-resolution digital audio recording and broadcast applications. Part of Panasonic’s RAMSA audio series, it delivers 24-bit/96 kHz conversion with high-accuracy oversampling technology for detailed and transparent sound reproduction. The unit supports AES/EBU and ADAT digital outputs, making it suitable for integration with digital audio workstations, multitrack recorders, and studio systems. Its rackmount design, low-noise circuitry, and precise word clock synchronization capabilities made it a popular choice in professional studios and live sound environments. The WZ-AD96 was later discontinued, with Panasonic ending production in 2006 and support in 2013.
