Gear Report: Peavey KB2 keyboard amp/PA – Hunter Harp

hunterharp.com

The Peavey KB2 shines as a compact, versatile amp, especially for harmonica players seeking clean, powerful sound without breaking the bank. Weighing under 40 pounds, it impressively balances portability with a robust 50-watt output, ideal for small venues. Its built-in mixer with multiple inputs is a plus, though it lacks effects and phantom power. While it may not match the raw power of pricier tube amps, its clarity and cost-efficiency make it a top contender for budget-conscious musicians. Perfect for those who value clean sound, but you'll need extras for that gritty blues tone.

Decent multipurpose amp

This was a good amp for a few years, but I think I may have pushed it too far. It distorts now in the higher frequencies at high volume; more than it should.
