Description
"The Decadence Series officially released on September 9th, 2009. This cymbal line celebrates our first 10 years in the cymbal industry! For this series, we wanted something that would directly show, both visually and sonically, what we have accomplished over the past decade of cymbal crafting.
The Decadence series features a sparkle lathing that increases the surface area where sound releases. This means the sound explodes off the surface making these react faster than our other series. The darkened bell area is completed with two accent stripes.
The Decadence Sound: These are smooth, semi-clear toned and are explosive with a nice balance of middle and darker tones.
You will find these big sounding with added fullness and a little sparkle! As with any of our cymbal lines, we can adjust the sound of this line anyway you like! This series is complete with a little of everything from splashes, crashes, crash rides and rides to chinas, bells, china splashes and even stacks.
Our Decadence series is recommended through a wide range of music genres from jazz, fusion, blues, country to light rock, pop, funk, and harder rock. A wide range of weights are available to better suite to certain musical genres. Or you can select a solid medium weight for increased versatility. As with all Saluda cymbals, the Decadence series is hand casted, hand crafted, and hand hammered in fine, b20 bronze alloy. This unique looking series will showcase your drum set! You will enjoy the sparkly look and sound of our new Decadence series."

Perfect Fit
This cymbal was the missing piece on my kit. My old ride was nothing special, but the hardest part to find a good replacement for. There is a ton of stick definition, without very much ping. It's very well rounded and the decay is smooth without bad overtones. I needed something a bit easier on the ears than only using the 22" Sabian SR2, and this really did the trick.
For everyone hesitant on trying Saluda, I say go for it. We have a 19" crash sitting at my store that I'm contemplating picking up as well.
