Critic Reviews

Steinberger ZT3 Custom | Vintage Guitar® magazine

vintageguitar.com

The Steinberger ZT3 Custom is a bold leap in guitar innovation, blending classic headless design with modern versatility. Its standout features include the third-generation TransTrem, allowing precise pitch adjustments across all strings, and a versatile range of tones from US-built pickups. While the neck's unique design offers stability and warmth, the guitar's unconventional look may not appeal to purists. Some users reported initial issues with the TransTrem's functionality, though these are said to be resolved in production models. Overall, it's a forward-thinking instrument that caters to players seeking both form and function.

Great guitar, stays in tune no matter what...

I heard about people altering the neck in all sorts of ways, but so far, I haven't seen any need to make changes, it works for me...

The recessed jack maybe great for cables, but it interferes with plugging in my miniature wireless system
