Unleash your musical creativity with the SX Guitars Furrian MN P90, a solid body electric guitar that masterfully blends classic aesthetics with modern functionality. Crafted from solid alder wood, this guitar delivers a rich, resonant sound that stands out in any genre, from Rock and Jazz to Blues and Country. Unlike many of its counterparts, the Furrian MN P90 eschews plywood for a more authentic tone quality, ensuring that every note you play is as vibrant as your passion.

The guitar features a sleek maple neck paired with an aged maple fretboard, equipped with 21 jumbo frets and dot inlays for smooth playability and effortless navigation. The combination of a P90 single-coil pickup and a standard single-coil pickup offers a versatile vintage sound palette, perfect for those who crave classic tones with a modern twist.

Designed with a string-through-body bridge and 6 adjustable saddles, you can refine string height, radius, and intonation to suit your personal style. The passive volume and tone controls, complemented by a classic blade 3-way pickup selector switch, provide dynamic sound-shaping capabilities. Chrome hardware adds a touch of elegance, completing this finely-tuned instrument.

Furrian MN P90 Review: Inexpensive enough to allow you to buy more parts, but not... | SX | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

While the SX Furrian MN P90 offers a solid foundation for modification enthusiasts, it demands considerable work straight out of the box. Sound-wise, its P90 pickup shines after a setup, delivering clarity, especially in downtuned settings. However, quality control issues, including high frets and poor intonation, detract from the initial experience. The guitar’s potential is clear, but it’s a project rather than a plug-and-play instrument, making it less suitable for beginners. For those willing to invest time in upgrades, it can be transformed into a reliable performer at an appealing price point. Ultimately, it’s a mixed bag that rewards patience but may frustrate the unprepared.

Furrian MN P90 Review | SX | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

While the SX Furrian MN P90 offers an affordable entry point for guitar enthusiasts, it falls short in several areas. Its sound quality is decent, but the overall build quality is described as lacking, particularly in fit and finish. This guitar may not be suitable for beginners due to the level of customization and maintenance required. However, for those willing to tinker, it presents a valuable opportunity to learn about guitar work without a hefty financial commitment. Ultimately, it serves a niche market but may leave others wanting more.

I just got this. My first P90 guitar.

As with the Callisto STD +DS Les Paul copy I got from Rondo Music today (who sells SX guitars), this needed NOTHING done to it! Everything was spot on (Intonation, Neck Relief, String Height). It's a great sounding guitar and plays very smooth! SX guitars are great!!
