Great rare piece of musical history. One of the most "metal" looking basses ever.

These were made from 1985-1986 during Takamine's short entry into the world of electric solid bodies, JUST before they got sued by Gibson and sold the company, losing nearly all their paperwork on these beauties.

Double precision 4 string, 22 frets. Made famous by front man and bassist David Vincent of Morbid Angel. Super fast neck as it was made for Japanese players' hands.

The pickups are a tiny bit weak on the high end. David Vincent swapped the PPs with EMGs for his tone.

It's an eye catcher. People have to look at it and touch it everywhere it goes. It's the 4th most rare in the Tak series so they can go for a pretty penny. Lowest prices seen were 800 back in the early 2000's.

That's cool. Definitely a bold design, and I'm a fan when companies take chances like this.

That bass looks like the model that Mike of Killswitch Engage plays. The body style definitely reminds me of his bass.
