Tascam 112 cassette (SOS Apr 87)

While the Tascam 112 boasts impressive features like a fast clocking tape counter and Dolby HX Pro noise reduction, its two-head design severely limits its usability for professional recording. The inability to monitor signals off tape during recording raises concerns about quality control. Additionally, the fixed bias settings and lack of clear calibration instructions hinder its appeal for serious users. For casual recording enthusiasts, the 112 offers solid playback quality and user-friendly transport controls, but the drawbacks could prove frustrating for those seeking a truly professional cassette deck. Proceed with caution if you’re considering this for serious applications.

It's so pretty <3

Nice to experiment with sending mixes through to add a bit of saturation, it will sound fantastic depending on the genre. Lovely for Lo-fi of course. Alternatively you can just run a single track through it for example if you want to just add saturation to your bass or synthesiser this is easy to do.
