My go-to reverb in everything

This is such a nice lush and versatile reverb. I use it in every song, cause it makes everything sound better. Hardware synth plucks and pads? Check. Atmosphere sample FX? Check. VSTs? Check. It's worth the money and makes everything sound fantastic.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Big fan of DarkCathedral, with the Mix and Decay times pulled down some, according to what the sound needs

Best buy reverb!

Imagine a high quality lexicon reverb but for less than a fifth of the price. This plugin sounds just awesome, it's great on vocals, leads and pretty much anything you throw at it. I personally don't use it for shorter verbs and think it sounds best doing lush big sounding halls. The GUI maybe a little simple and flat but don't let that turn you off, just check it out and you'll never look back.

jimmarchi1

everyone was raving about this so....

I followed the crowd and bought it and unlike a lot of the hot plugins that everyone uses Ia ctually really love this reverb and use it a lot.

xaqary

Yeah, I have really wanted to try this out. The R4 reverb looks sick too. It's tough buying another reverb plug tho. I'm kinda lookin for that last reverb plugin...short of the VSS3 price tag. This one was very reasonable priced if remember correctly.

jimmarchi1

I wanna get all their reverbs but I have so many verbs that sound fine its not a priority....

I love valhalla

Another great reverb plugin from Valhalla. I have vintage verb and I use that quite a lot. I bought this on a whim because I wanted to explore a different plugin. I had no desire to look further than Valhalla though :) It sounds really good and has additional tools for creating more special reverbs.

xaqary

Diggin' it.

KICK ASS GUI. I'm not 100% sure on 4 stars just yet, but if things continue to go as well as in my last mix it'll definitely see a fair amount of action. The extra control is great & kinda lends itself to Ableton users a bit. Unless you've done the .txt hack it's pretty damn annoying not being able to see what plugins you've got on every track at a glance. Nice having a lots to tweak right there.

daniel_chalyan

Adore the possibilities it offers. The whole Valhalla range is brilliant.

I pretty much use this on everything but the most simple of sounds, for which I would use a DAW's built-in reverb. But for medium to important sounds - it's Valhalla all the way. Great sculpting capabilities, especially playing with the stereo spread of early and late reflections to create unique dimensions. Beautiful and very CPU-friendly.

Used for the piano on "The Girl", as stated by Hellberg in the song's official Splice project annotations (released May 1, 2015).

Piano Chords: The whole project started from the chords. I had written the chord progression of the entire track before I did anything else in the track. The piano is Alicia's Keys in Kontakt 5. Not much else on there I think except a ValhallaRoom reverb that I use a lot.

Piano Bassnotes: I separated the lower notes from the the rest of the piano chords because I wanted them to be much more reverb-y than the higher notes which are pretty dry and unprocessed. The lower notes are also played by another VST than the higher ones, the lower one being TruePianos and the higher ones being Alicia's Keys in Kontakt 5.
