While explaining his Live Rig With Nine Inch Nails, Alessandro show what he mention as "His favorite part of the rig" showing the Tascam 4 track recorder. This gear is used for many purposes, now almost every song in the set have his own cassette. Sometimes for playing backing riffs, piano chords and sometimes even the click track for the drummer.

Interviewer: So, its not synced in any way?

Alessandro: No never, no way thats not what we doing Some time we even send the drummer´s click track from here... and people is like What?... haha, Exactly..

I've never been a sampling guy, and the Octatrack changed the way I approach sampling. Even the simplest sound bite can be transformed into a song."
