Description

Named after the legendary bassist who held down the low end for iconic bands such as Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, the Fender Duff McKagan Precision Bass is a rock 'n' roll beast. A reissue of the '80s-era Jazz Bass Special, this bass guitar deftly combines the body of a Precision Bass with a Jazz Bass neck, resulting in a distinctive, sleek, and full-bodied sound.

The Pearl White finish, gloss-black neck, and headstock bring back the classic look and vibe of the '80s rock era. The bass houses both P and J pickups, with the Seymour Duncan Jazz Bass pickup in the bridge position and a vintage-style P Bass pickup in the middle position. Both pickups work in harmony to create deep bass tones with a distinctive rock 'n' roll edge.

The Precision Bass pickup delivers the driving, hard-hitting bass lines that are synonymous with rock and metal, while the Seymour Duncan J Bass pickup provides a rich midrange and a growl that cuts through the mix. The Duff McKagan Precision Bass also features a TBX treble/bass cut circuit, allowing you to dial in your desired sound with precision and ease.

Big bull..

This equipboard is a big BS. None of the artist above used the Duff McKagan JAZZ BASS SPECIAL (btw. not a precision bass). All of them used the original 1984-1987 Made in Japan Jazz Bass Special. The Duff signature based on this bass. Duff himself used custom built Jazz Bass Specials built after his first original model. Do your homework and stop posting BS.

My go to bass

It’s perfect for me. Jazz neck, P bass body, P/J pickups. I changed mine out for Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, I fitted a Hipshot Kickass bridge and a Hipshot Bass extender. All of my four string basses have those. The bass is great out of the box, but this one and I have evolved together.
