Buzz has used Sunn Beta Leads throughout the Melvins career. Buzz has talked about them in multiple Rig Rundowns and you can see one at 8:12 in the following video.
Although linked to backbreaking Les Paul since the '80s, King Buzzo currently tours with a trio of less traditional Electric Guitar Company axes. This all-aluminum, chrome-finished model is slightly heavier than Osborne's Les Pauls

buzz does not stick with any specific form of the rat, he's been seen using the vintage big boxes, the regular rat 2 boxes, and even the rackmount rat, it doesn't matter which rat you choose for his sound. You definitely don't need a $400 whiteface :)
