"In this picture you can see Denny Laine playing a Fender Telecaster Bass." This is not a Telecaster, but a 54-1957 Fender Precision bass, Note the contoured arm area at the top. This bass also has Kluson 545 tuners, Early ( dis continued in mid 1967 and never used of any version of the telecaster ) Telecasters have Fender "Elephant Ear", c. 1967-1983 or Fender Oval " Lollipop" tuners c. 1966-1969. Note: The Telecaster Bass was first released in 1967 as a reissue of the 1950-53 slab body Precision Bass.
