Evan Dando

Evan has long used a 1950's vintage Gibson J45 the main axe for all his recorded acoustic work and touring. He has retired it from live work in recent years as it has had a long life and is just too rare, valuable and fragile to tour.

Evan Dando mentions using a Marshall JCM800 with split channels during the recording of "It's A Shame About Ray." Although the split channel models are the 2210 and 2205, not the 2203, photos suggest he likely uses a 2210.

Evan Dando is longtime user of Gibson SG Juniors, and is frequently pictured with one.

In this photo, Dando is visible with the Orange Crush 10 guitar amp.

He's been seen sometimes playing live with a black Les Paul custom in different periods of the band. I’m this post from The Lemonheads official Facebook page you can see Evan Dando playing a black Gibson Les Paul standard. He has been photographed playing this numerous times.

Here's Evan Dando on his local beach with his red Roland Micro Cube (10:22). From the plastic corner fittings it appears to be the newer Micro Cube GX rather than the chunkier edged original.
