Karl Hyde's Guitars

This image, posted to the band's Instagram account, shows Justin Adams recording guitar parts on what appears to be a vintage Gibson Les Paul with P90 pickups and a trapeze tailpiece. (EDIT: Submitted this listing for removal because it depicts Adams, and not Karl Hyde)

In this blog about the making of Eno & Hyde's 2014 album Someday World, Karl's guitars are depicted--including what looks to be a modified 59 DC. Customizations appear to include a Telecaster-style ashtray bridge assembly; single-coil pickup in the bridge position; a P90 pickup in the neck position; and the pickup selector switch seems to have been relocated so that it sits between and slightly above the volume and tone knobs. Additionally, the pickguard has been removed.

In this image from Underworld's Instagram account, Karl has posted a photo of his white LP (we can tell it's a Standard because it only has binding on the front).

The guitar has been customized with decals and the addition of a Roland GK-2A synth pickup (added by Underworld tech Mal Corbett with assistance from Kenton Electronics and mistakenly identified in this interview as a "GK10 MIDI controller"). Interestingly, Hyde also owns a Black LP Standard, which he has similarly modified with white letter decals and the same MIDI controller.
