Simon used a 1972 Fender Mustang competition in Green Color live with Blur and later used both on Demon Days shows with Gorillaz in 2005 and 2006 respectively, and with The Good, The Band, And The Queen between 2007 and 2020.
In this photo from The Verve’s 1998 Haigh Hall performance in Wigan we see Tong with a Gibson ES-335 in sunburst. This guitar served as one of Tong’s mains through The Verve’s final pre-reunion touring years
Simon Tong frequently played Damon Albarn's 1960's Fender Duo Sonic II. He played this guitar throughout the entire The Good, The Bad & The Queen's first album, and was last seen with it playing with Gorillaz in 2010 as an additional guitarist. The way you can tell this is Damon's is because its age and wear pattern is identical, and also the placement of the decal.
In a live performance captured on YouTube, Simon Tong is seen playing a Sunburst Fender Jazzmaster with Gorillaz at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix, AZ. He began using this guitar around 2010 and has continued to use it since.

Simon Tong used the MXR M101 Phase 90 during performances in Harlem in 2006, possibly 2005. A user-uploaded photo shows the distinctive orange pedal with its switch and knob, confirming its presence in his setup.
Simon Tong uses the Pro Co RAT 2 distortion pedal, typically placing it after a delay pedal in his setup. This configuration, shared among his bandmates Graham, Jones, and Wootton, reflects their preference for delay-before-distortion effects. A user-uploaded photo confirms this setup.
During Damon Albarn's The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows live preformances, Simon Tong used a natural finished Fender Stratocaster. I doubt it was used on any songs on the album however, the album was 99% his 1972 Fender Competition Mustang.
In the video "Honest Jon's Revue & Damon Albarn" by lilaciao, Simon Tong can be seen using a 1952 Fender Telecaster Reissue. Although the video quality is poor, this guitar is rarely used by Tong and is likely one of the guitars available at Damon Albarn's Studio 13.
At 25:51, brief clip of Simon using a vintage Watkins Rapier 33. This is his own guitar, and he has used it live aswell. Damon Albarn used it a couple of times aswell.
Simon Tong uses the Electro-Harmonix Cathedral reverb pedal while performing with The Good, The Bad & The Queen and on Damon Albarn's solo album "The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows," as evidenced by a user-uploaded photo.
