Very strong sounding machine ...
Very strong sounding machine with precise behaviour, superfast to superslow envelopes. More possibilities than one would expect. It surprises even after long years of use. Can sound like other vintage synths or completely unique. All purpose weapon! Some say it's sound is kind of cold, but actually it depends on your settings. It can indeed sound extremely warm, phat and rich. At lower levels you get a very raspy oscillator sound which beats Sequential's Pro One. The filters are superb but in some cases I would like them to open up even more than up to 16kHz. With a little bit of resonance you get that effect though and can emulate a SH2 behaviour.

At 9:30 in the video in which Celldweller shows off his studio to Future Music Magazine, you can see that he points at a synth and says "And here is another incredible sounding synth, this is a Cwejman S1, this is the mark 2 . . . this thing sounds incredible. You've got 3 oscillators, 2 different types of filters, the ADSR envelopes are incredible sounding and I often use them seperately from the synth".
“With the Cwejman S1 there’s a speed to how the envelopes work that I really like; it’s got better possibilities in that you can do many weird sounds. You can do even more if you have a lot of Eurorack modules - then you can go really crazy, although I prefer musicality over instrumental module tweaking.”
