Maybe you should make your own pedal and make it a part of your own new sound. That would end the need to have so many pedals and it would make you stand out.

Narcist, do you have a video of your band playing? I'd like to see what 1. You look like and 2. What your music sounds like.

OFF TOPIC

Well... due to my school suddenly needing an IRS transcript, which they have not ever asked for before, I am unable to go to school this semester. So disappointed. Being a 30 year old student, I already feel a sense of urgency to gather all the credits I need to as early as possible and getting started in a career field. Six months is an eternity to wait in my situation. I'm thinking about using this here thing called the internet to study the classes I had planned on taking and seeing if I can take a test and clep out of these courses. It would be cheaper for me to pay for the clep test than the course anyway.

He COULD have been playing a right handed bass strung up like a lefty. Even still, Homer Simpson was playing a lot closer to the track than the kid on Sopranos was.

If you dislike Eric Holder, Ted Poe is worth a search on Youtube. He does a great job of making Holder look like an idiot. Poe is a smart allic and sometimes fun to watch.

When movies/television shows have someone "playing" an instrument and they don't even try to make it look real, like their so stupid, they don't understand how their movements correlate with the noise.

Example -

I was just watching Sopranos. Season 2, Episode 6 "The Happy Wanderer". At 33:33 of the episode, you will see a teenager sitting with Tony's daughter, playing a bass and singing. It is the WORST AIR GUITAR EVER! His hands slide all over the neck when there aren't any sounds being played. When the song plays higher notes, he slides his hand down towards the nut. I do not know the name of this actor, but I hate him now and forever.

Where I'm from, the songs every one tried to play early on were ...

Hysteria - Muse

Enter Sandman - Metallica

When I come Around - Green Day

Slither - Velvet Revolver

Song 2 - Blur

Any chance of a Best Vibe/Rotary Pedal Article?

I get kind of a Conan O'Brien thing coming from Mike over there. My first time stepping into a prison we walked into the super seg in Clements, where all the nut jobs go. The inmates try to yell stuff at the new boot officers coming in for the first time. Partly to intimidate them but also to entertain the other inmates. When I walked onto the run, one black dude saw me through his window and screamed, "Oh look! We got Conan O'BRIAN up in here". I started laughing, inmates that weren't paying attention ran to the window to get a look at me and to laugh, and my fellow officers laughed. Good memories. I look nothing like Conan though. Just tall and redheaded.

Mind Blown.

I thought when Michael said "my wife", he was referring to you. I thought twins came out of YOUR body. My eyes saw the photo before the text and you had me thinking you guys were a couple and you adopted twins. My brain is scrambled. I forgot which post specifically made me think you guys were a straight couple, but there was one. I guess I should read the history of EquipBoard thread eh?

Speaking of which.... do we have a forum search engine?

Game of Thrones.... PLEASE?!

Valor Hodorus,

My favorite theory right now is that the 3 Lannister's are actually bastard Targaryens, making Tyrien one of the 3 heads of the dragon and explaining why Cersie and Jaime naturally fell into making winter come. I feel Lord Baelish will be King by the end as well.

I think I may pick up the newest book since I have heard that is where they vastly differ from each other. My favorite character is Arya Stark. I really hope she is one of the few that survive the series.

Am I the only person who hates Samwell's girlfriend?

Never heard of a rotary pedal before this. Looking at it online and... I can't tell the difference between one of them and a phaser pedal.

Marshall CODE Anyone got one yet?

Exactly my point. If you went into a studio to record and found this sitting up on the rack, you'd know to leave immediately.

This is merely on the market to try an take the money of people just getting their first guitars. For the cash, there are better options out there for a new player.

I have been encountering this lately. Our band practice is an hour late because every single person on stage wants to have their own monitor channel with their own preferences. You hear lots of "More guitar... more..... more... okay less backing vocal.... okay turn my mic off...... okay add bass...... okay no drums". I don't like this. I think everyone should have main vocal, drums, and their own instrument. This would allow for multiple members to all share channels.

Drums, Bass, Vocals - Channel 1 Guitars, Drums, Vocals - 2

instead we have like 9 channels and all of them different.

Marshall CODE Anyone got one yet?

I hadn't ever heard of it before this posting. Since this morning, I have been watching a lot of videos on it. To my ears, it sounds digital. I think you could play this Code next to a real Marshall and be able to tell the difference through audio alone. For me, that makes this item a bust.

The only digital technology that has impressed me was the Kemper Profiler. I was unable to distinguish the differences between it and the amps it was simulating. As far as a small studio goes, they would be better off paying the extra dough and getting something well worth the money than dropping just 300 on this amp. The code seems pretty limited to me and knowing how expensive quality Marshalls go for, the price tag alone makes me think Marshall didn't put much love into this.

Spacey/Psychedelic Chords

I listened a good bit but didn't hear any chords. Most of what they were doing was jazz, just arranged a little differently.

10yalmost 10 years ago

How cheap is too cheap?

I guess it comes down to how many people you are going to play with and what venue you will be playing.

The Hello-Thread: Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself 👋

Hey Cary. The only tip I have at the moment is to move to an area with cleaner resources :p

Fill out your board as best you can, get involved with the forum, and look at the artists you know a lot about and see if their gear is correct.

There is an Aria II bass for sale on Austin's craigslist right now that I'm so angry over not being able to get right now. Cool basses.

7 string and low watt high gain amp suggestions

Ibanez, Schector, Jackson, and Earnie Ball make a good number of them. I see a lot of artists using Kiesel 7 strings now.

A friend of mine bought a Tosin Abasi signature 8 string Ibanez last year and has touted that it is the best guitar he's ever owned.

Sovereign Citizens

I've seen every SC video I can on YouTube. They are all annoying :) I think most of them are hoping to start a fight with the officers. If you enjoy these vids, you will DEFINATLY love the Mr. Show sketch about this.

The Hello-Thread: Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself 👋

I didn't think you were trashing Texas.... but now that you say that (grabs slowly for gun)

Just Kidding. You might feel comfortable in Austin. Austin is the most extreme area we have in liberalness (I totally did not think this was a real word until looking it up just now :) )

I've not looked into the laws of Colorado, but I suspect that I would enjoy the weather there. I had planned to move there once I was done with my education. The deciding factor is just what laws they have. I don't want to go to jail there for something I wouldn't think twice about doing here.

The Hello-Thread: Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself 👋

A lot of our stores have a create-a-6-pack as well. Usually it's just single bottles of everything they sell already. Micro-breweries have sprung up everywhere in the last decade. My hometown of pop.6000 had a German brewery move in called the Edelweise. San Antonio and Austin have a ton of small brew groups these days but I've not tried many local brews.

Sovereign Citizens

I go through trends with my YouTubez watching. For a while I watched motoblogs, then samali pirates being pwned by navy, and so fourth. I have come into a new trend for myself.

Sovereign Citizens

These are folks that believe they have a strong understanding of the laws of a certain state/country. They feel they have found loopholes in the legal system that would allow them to get away with the breaking of laws of a certain place.

These videos fill me with so much emotion. If you haven't seen these yet, I highly suggest you look them up. My favorite video is pretty lengthy but it's a great example of how out of it the "Sovereign Citizens" are and how an officer is supposed to carry himself.

Enjoy

The Hello-Thread: Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself 👋

Welcome Wouter.

I've not had a great number of Belgium beers. St. Paul, Stella, and MAYBE a New Belgium Abbey once.

I say Irish beers win me over because of one company. Harp. I've tried every Guinness and Harp creation I've come across and only not enjoyed one of them (I don't remember which).

My go-to Harp bottle is the Guinness Extra Stout. It has a lot of the dark, chocolaty taste I look for but a thicker mouth feel than the original flagship beer. The one thing I don't like about a normal Guinness is how watery and thin it is.

I'm not a fan of salty bright beers like many Mexican beers and Landshark for example. I don't like beers that are too sweet like some hefeweisens. I'm the Goldy Locks of beer. I want a dark, rich, slightly bitter beer that swells the stomach, has a strong, long-lasting after-taste, and feels thick in the mouth like ice cream.

Hey dude! My influences are bassists like Steve Harris, Paolo Gregoletto, Troy sanders of mastodon, Nolly of periphery and Matt Goddard of Chiodos, I'm quite a technical player, in the sense it try to stay away from just following the guitars! What about you?

First of all... You have to visit Ireland if you want good beer ;)

I grew up on Cliff Burton, Justin Chancellor, and Steve Harris. Now I hold Alex Webster, John Myung, and Steve DiGeorgio in my highest regards.
