Victory V40 Deluxe Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

Victory V40 Deluxe impresses with its blend of '60s Fender and Marshall tones in a single, meticulously crafted package. Its master volume setup allows for rich clean tones and convincing power amp distortion, while the 40-to-7 watt switch offers versatility for various playing environments. The amp's standout features include its lush reverb and authentic tremolo, though some may find its 60-pound weight a burden. High-quality construction and player-friendly features, like an accessible effects loop and biasing, add to its appeal. While the price is fair for its performance, the V40 Deluxe excels as a flexible, quality amp for enthusiasts seeking vintage-inspired sounds.

Victory V40 Deluxe

guitarinteractivemagazine.com

The Victory V40 Deluxe impresses with its vintage styling, versatile tones, and affordability, making it a standout in the boutique amp market. Offering classic American cleans to ’60s British drive, it excels in flexibility with features like valve-driven reverb and tremolo. The dual voice modes deliver both Fender-esque sparkle and Marshally thickness, making it adaptable for various styles. However, the amp's abundant bass can be overwhelming, necessitating careful EQ adjustments at high volumes. Despite this, the V40 Deluxe's tonal richness and professional features make it a superb choice for those seeking quality and value.

A Class of It's Own

Simply an immensely Versatile Clean Amp. Truly for Feel. A most Prized Amp of mine with immense sentimental Value as Gifted to me by my Dear Girl. As a personal Lover of only Class A Amps, this here is the exception that provides you with both Plan A and B in a Pure Tone Class A/B Amp. Victory has done it again.

jimmarchi1

most class A amps aren't class A, just cathode biased... the whole vox ac30 camp is class A/B. In guitar amps if its not single ended like a champ its not legitimately class A. The sonic difference between the 2 biasing schemes is more subtle than one would think and only becomes really apparent if you work your guitar volume control extensively with your amp turned way up and it doesn't have or you don't use a master volume. Class A is a weird marketing gimmick someone came up with in the 90s.
