Good for practice and home use. Some scratchy pots/buttons after 18months.

It's a decent closed back bass amp for home and small practice venues. You can position it upright (as seen) or like a wedge monitor. It's rather loud. I've been using this for home practice at 10-20% volume. It's not transparent as there is some mids colouration.

I've got a active jazz bass and passive P bass. Find that the Ampeg pairs much better with my passive bass for a warm tone. My active bass sounds rather harsh. This amp comes with a scrambler option (overdrive) which sounds quite organic.

Some neat features for home practice: Aux in with adjustable volume (although sound signature is muddy), Earphones out is quite transparent, Input pad -15dB is useful for night practices

Small but Good

For a small amp, I love it. Ampeg has never let me down. A huge improvement over my previous bass amp. Love the EQing on it, the scrambler, and more, It's no SVT but it gets the job done. I recommend it a lot. It can get quite loud too.

B

Great little amp with big sound and classic Ampeg tone.

This little amp delivers big sound and the classic Ampeg tone for a very low price. I would buy it again, but I might go for the BA-115v2 just because.
