Aristides 080S Multiscale with Evertone Bridge , Gold Marble Burst Gloss Painted Finish: Custom , Body Type: S - Multiscale , Model Code: 080s , Bridge type: Evertune , Fret board: Richlite Black , Hardware color: Black , Other: burst , custom marble About the S – Multiscale: Aristides’ multiscale S Series models are designed for clarity & precision playing across all genres of music. While the 080S model was first developed to cater to the needs of 8 string guitarists, the 060S & 070S were then released to extend those benefits to everyone. You will notice an increased clarity across large chords, better sustain on the low strings, an increased comfort in your fretting hand, & of course more clarity & intonation range when tuning down. Barre chords remain effortless, the lower horn has been adjusted for even further improved fret access, & a custom Hantug tremolo is available in addition to a traditional hardtail bridge as well as the custom Aristides Guitars EverTune. If you’re looking to get a little more out of your instrument, multiscale Aristides S series guitars deliver not only deep design & material benefits, but also skilled human craftsmanship to ensure your guitar plays perfect every time. 080S: Our first multiscale model! 080s was developed to improve the 8 string experience with comfortable treble strings for soloing & clean passages while maintaining a tight & clear low end with an even longer scale length than our traditional 080. You will notice a very balanced sound across the entire fretboard; the notes have a piano-like timbre. Owner Insights

We analyzed real musician discussions from forums and Reddit to find what players love, question, and tweak about Aristides Guitars 080S Multiscale with Evertone Bridge.

Setup and maintenance

  • Aristides can customize setups per buyer specifications, including unique tunings and string gauges like EAEADGBE with a 9-80 set.

    Source
  • Some owners prefer Stringjoy strings for their longer length, which is beneficial for extended scale guitars with wraparound bridges or Evertune systems that consume string length.

    Source
  • Using D’Addario NYXL 9-84 strings on a multiscale 26.5-28" guitar maintains clarity in the low end, even in Drop E tuning.

    Source
  • Despite a slight bump from the Evertune installation, it does not affect comfort or playability, whether sitting or standing.

    Source

Mods and upgrades

  • For those seeking specific tonal qualities, Stringjoy's heavy bottom light set offers improved intonation and clarity on multiscale guitars.

    Source
  • Some owners prefer a humbucker for the bridge and a single coil for the neck, praising the tonal versatility especially when paired with a split coil option.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • Balanced tension is achieved with D’Addario NYXL strings, offering flexibility in tuning, such as transitioning between Drop E and Drop Eb without issues.

    Source

User experience

  • Owners with multiple guitars find D’Addario NYXL strings maintain their "chimey" quality even after extended periods of non-use, unlike other brands that dull without frequent playing.

    Source
  • Owners appreciate the collaboration between Aristides and Evertune, which ensures high-quality installation, crucial for optimal performance of the Evertune bridge.

    Source
  • Owners report that the Evertune bridge maintains exceptional pitch stability, even with the natural resonance and definition of low notes.

    Source

Features and functionality

  • D’Addario NYXL strings are praised for their longevity and smooth feel, particularly for slides and fast playing, offering a consistent experience over time.

    Source
  • The Bare Knuckle Polymath pickups, with a push-pull split wired to the volume knob, offer a range of tones including P90-style sounds.

    Source
  • The Evertune bridge is specially adapted by Aristides for multiscale use, as Evertune traditionally doesn't produce a multiscale model.

    Source
  • The Aristides 080S with multiscale Evertune has a 26.5-28" scale length, offering stability without needing to reach 30" for extended range tuning.

    Source
  • The absence of front fret markers can be an adjustment, but side markers and specific reference points like the 12th fret aid in navigation.

    Source

Comparisons

  • Aristides guitars are noted as a step up in quality compared to Kiesel, with consistent build quality and unique finish options like seafoam and raw finishes.

    Source

Value and pricing

  • Raw models are roughly priced at $4k, with customizable hardware including various pickup brands such as Bare Knuckles and Fishmans.
