The passive 5-string JB-Modern
Low-B has a great tone, is incredibly easy to play, and has a clear sound that covers all genres.
The Cruise JB model is renowned for its "excellent playing feel" and "powerful, well-balanced sound."
The JB-Modern is crafted to JB's signature specifications: an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. One of the reasons the JB-Modern is so popular with bassists is its "playing feel." Carefully crafted by skilled Japanese craftsmen, the neck takes nearly four times longer than a typical neck to craft, resulting in a comfortable feel the moment you pick it up, and a stable playing feel that makes you feel as if you've been playing for years. The neck shape, carefully crafted in response to feedback from frontline bassists, allows for stress-free playing for long periods of time without fatigue.
Crews TYPE-J pickup
This original design provides enough power to drive an amplifier while maintaining a clear low-B response. Even in passive mode, it offers plenty of power and clarity. While it naturally pairs well with active preamps, its superior passive performance is highly acclaimed worldwide.
Crews 5WSJ Pickup
Compared to the regular Type-J, this has more turns and a wider coil width, giving the mid-low range a depth and punch with an exquisite compression feel.The attack of the sound is similar to a single coil, and the sustain is similar to a humbucker.
