Denon DJ SC Live 4 (& SC Live 2) Standalone Controllers Review

digitaldjtips.com

The Denon DJ SC Live 4 and SC Live 2 bridge the gap between casual and pro DJing with fun features like built-in speakers and a club-style layout. However, their plastic construction raises eyebrows, and the small screens can strain eyes during use. While the built-in WiFi and compatibility with streaming services enhance versatility, the lack of extensive external inputs might deter serious DJs. If you’re after a solid home setup or a portable unit for small gigs, these controllers deliver, but those seeking professional-grade features may want to look at the pricier Prime 4. Overall, they’re a bold step for Denon, appealing to a new audience yet leaving some traditionalists wanting more.

Denon DJ SC Live 4 - Review & Walkthrough

wearecrossfader.co.uk

The Denon DJ SC Live 4 stands out in the all-in-one controller category with its innovative features, including music streaming directly from Amazon Music Unlimited and built-in lighting controls. The four-channel capability allows for impressive mixing without additional equipment, appealing to both aspiring and intermediate DJs. However, some limitations arise, notably the restriction of streaming only two tracks simultaneously and a cramped screen display when managing multiple decks. Still, the ease of use and the comprehensive standalone functionality make it a formidable option for those seeking professional-grade features at a more accessible price point.

Amazing decks for the price

Literally 50% cheaper than 4 channel pioneer and they are amazing for the price. Built in speakers are fairly loud and the sound quality is really good too.
