    Source
  • The RX2's looping feature is noted to create a ~.99 bar loop when holding the loop-in button, requiring constant pitch adjustments.

    Source

Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX2 Review - We Are Crossfader

wearecrossfader.co.uk

The Pioneer XDJ-RX2 strikes a balance between professional-grade features and home-friendly design, making it a standout all-in-one unit for DJs. It inherits traits from the Nexus 2 line, including a 7-inch touch screen and expanded performance pads, bringing a slice of the club experience home. However, its capacitive jog wheels, lacking resistance adjustment, slightly undercut the "club feel." Despite its hefty size, the RX2's premium build and familiar layout appeal to both seasoned DJs and beginners. While newer models like the XDJ-XZ and Denon DJ's Prime series offer competition, the RX2 remains a compelling, cost-effective alternative to pricier setups.

Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX2 Rekordbox System Review - Digital DJ Tips

digitaldjtips.com

The Pioneer XDJ-RX2 is a robust all-in-one DJ system that offers a "close-to-club" setup for aspiring club and festival DJs, without the hefty CDJ/DJM price tag. It features a new Qwerty touchscreen and improved performance pads, making track browsing and cue juggling easier. However, the improvements over its predecessor are minor, which might not justify an upgrade for existing XDJ-RX users. The jogwheels are responsive but might feel loose to those accustomed to tighter settings. Overall, it's a great choice for DJs seeking a standalone system without relying on a laptop, but not a must-have upgrade for everyone.

Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX2: Hands-on Review - zZounds Music Blog

zzounds.com

The Pioneer XDJ-RX2 impresses with its versatility and professional features, making it a strong contender for both seasoned DJs and newcomers. Its standout attributes include a responsive touchscreen and 16 performance pads, enhancing creativity and ease of use. As a standalone unit, it supports multiple music sources, a lifesaver for on-the-go gigs. However, it lacks full-size platters and jog weight adjustment, which might disappoint those used to more robust setups. Despite these minor drawbacks, the XDJ-RX2 offers excellent value for its price, delivering portability and a professional feel reminiscent of club-standard setups.

Pioneer DJ's XDJ-RX2: First Impressions Review - DJ TechTools

djtechtools.com

The Pioneer XDJ-RX2 impresses with its upgraded features, including a sleek touchscreen and expanded performance pads, offering a near CDJ-2000NXS2 experience at a fraction of the cost. Its bundled Rekordbox DJ license adds value, but lacks multi-touch capability and Rekordbox DVS compatibility. Despite minor omissions like the Ethernet port, it remains a robust, premium-feeling unit. While RX1 owners may find the upgrade marginal, newcomers will appreciate the enhanced performance tools and affordability, making it a sound investment for aspiring DJs.

Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX2 Media Player Review And Video

djtechzone.com

The Pioneer XDJ-RX2 impresses as a versatile all-in-one DJ system, boasting robust build quality and excellent jog wheels. It shines with its 8 performance pads per deck and a well-designed mixer loaded with effects options. The unit works seamlessly with Rekordbox DJ, offering flexibility for both standalone and MIDI operation. However, the touchscreen feels somewhat outdated, lacking modern multitouch gestures. Despite this, the XDJ-RX2 provides substantial value, making it a compelling choice for serious home and mobile DJs seeking both performance and connectivity.

Fantastic controller All-in one!

All-in One controller that works perfectly without the need for a pc. Elegant design and very fast track reading response. it is possible to save new live hotcues using the pendrive, subsequently they can also be saved on the reckordbox. I noticed that it also reads 64GB pendrives even if at times a little slow in reading but not so much so it deserves full marks. I recommend it both for studio and for playing live
