Pioneer DJ CDJ-2000NXS2 Media Player Review - Digital DJ Tips

digitaldjtips.com

The Pioneer DJ CDJ-2000NXS2 is a powerhouse for professional DJs, packed with enhanced features like a larger touch screen and expanded hot cues, elevating it to near-laptop DJ system levels. Its integration with Rekordbox and support for FLAC/ALAC files make it versatile, though setup can be cumbersome if not familiar with networking the gear. The hefty price tag is a barrier, but for pro club setups, it's the gold standard. While cheaper controllers offer similar functionality, for those where budget is no constraint, the CDJ-2000NXS2 offers unmatched reliability and performance for the ultimate DJ experience.

CDJ-2000NXS2 + DJM-900NXS2 Hands-On Review (at NAMM) - DJ TechTools

djtechtools.com

The Pioneer DJ CDJ-2000NXS2 impresses with a new 7” touchscreen and efficient browsing features, making it a formidable update for DJs. The integration of MIDI control with the DDJ-SP1 is a game-changer, expanding creative potential. However, the retention of the CD drive feels outdated in an era of digital media. While sound quality improvements are promising, they remain untested in a club environment. Despite a price hike to $2,199, the CDJ-2000NXS2 sets a new industry standard, though it could benefit from unifying features across the Pioneer range. Overall, it's a compelling, albeit pricey, upgrade.

loooooooveeeeeeeeeee them so much!

when i start djing was 2016 , i was messing with traktor and a midi controller , and i really like to be a dj because you play music for people and you can connect with people , two years later i had the idea how to djing and i take more serious djing , so i was looking for a professional equipment ,at first i wanted to buy a good controller of pioneer but I'm not a fun of controllers anymore , so i decide to spent money on that ,i don't to know if that was a good move or not to spent about 7000 euro for the dj set , but i can tell you today I'm enjoying my dj sets . i freakin love them and also you can do so much with them if you open your mind , you can be so creative , they are easy to use if you had an idea how to djing . . the all dj set cost me 6500 euro but i bought headphones ,cables and the deck saver protect and i spent about 7000+ euro for the dj set .. if you want the best dj equipment in the world just go buy them <3

The industry standard - but not perfect

Having used both prior Pioneer controllers and newer ones, and using the Denon SC5000 series, I can fairly say these are the best "players" available. However there is only a single 'layer'. There are no performance pads. The touch display is average at best in daylight. And the feet are less stable than the new DJM-1000. So overall its time for Pioneer to update these to modern times - they serve me well but it's ready for NXS3.

Very simple and easy to use

Love every thing about it except you can't play 32 bit wav files on it. I was playing a show and found this out the hard way.
