Electro-Harmonix Bass Metaphors Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Electro-Harmonix Bass Metaphors is a versatile bass pedal offering warm and round tones with a Tobias Classic six-string and a great tube-like distortion. Its two-band EQ, separate gain controls, and blend knob offer tonal flexibility, while the built-in compressor improves overdrive articulation. However, it initially presents some top-end hiss, though easily tamed by adjusting the treble. The pedal's lightweight aluminum build and multiple outputs make it a practical all-in-one solution for bassists seeking a DI with distortion. If you need a fully adjustable compressor, though, it might not meet your needs.

Electro-Harmonix Bass Metahors

This pedal is a combination of preamp, distortion, eq and compressor. You may like it and may not. It's distortion can give good results with low values, adding vintage overdrive sound. Compressor has only one knob, but it can help keeping your bass signal stable. Also there is an interesting EQ, which can add lows and highs to your signal. You can get good results, but not very different.

Great pedal!

Just adjust its trimpots and you'll get a fantastic Compressor out of it!
