Description

The FV 500 Vintage Flying V made in Japan by Greco

The Greco FV-500 is a classic Japanese–made Flying V–style electric guitar from the early 1970s, representing the era when Greco produced bold, rock-ready instruments with vintage tone and style.
Built during Greco’s formative period in Matsumoku (pre-1975), it features period-correct tonewoods and components that deliver rich, resonant sound with strong sustain ideal for rock, blues, and classic tones.
The striking V-shaped body gives players both stage presence and balanced playability, while the original Greco-embossed Maxon humbuckers contribute a warm, punchy output with a classic vintage vibe.
Despite being several decades old, many examples remain reliable performers with a solid vintage character that appeals to collectors and players alike.
