A stylish, stripped-back Gretsch that nails the Brian Setzer brief: classic hollowbody snap, fat twangy TV Jones Filter’Trons, comfy control layout, solid setup, and smart upgrades like Sperzel lockers and a pinned bridge that help the Bigsby behave. The reviewer clearly loves its retro vibe and says it gets you about as close to Setzer’s sound as possible. The catch? It’s expensive, unapologetically niche, and ultimately still a signature guitar—meaning the magic is more in the player than the logo on the pickup cover. For rockabilly diehards, collectors, or anyone chasing that unmistakable Gretsch bark, it sounds like a cracking instrument. For everyone else, the price and narrow lane may be harder to justify.
