Description

Designed in collaboration with thrash metal pioneer David Ellefson of Megadeth, the Jackson David Ellefson CB-XV is a bass guitar that embodies power and precision. This signature model is finely tuned to Ellefson's exacting standards, ensuring it can keep pace with the most technical and demanding playing. Crafted with a basswood body and a bolt-on maple neck, it offers a lightweight feel without compromising on tone.

The 12"-16" compound radius Indian laurel fingerboard is engineered for comfort and speed, allowing effortless transitions across its 21 jumbo frets. The dual EMG HZ35 humbucking pickups deliver a robust, fat sound that cuts through any mix, while the active 3-band EQ lets you sculpt your tone to perfection. Whether you prefer a warm, rounded sound or a sharp, punchy attack, this bass has you covered.

A Jackson HiMass bridge enhances sustain and sharpens note attack, providing rich tonal clarity without altering the fundamental bass tone. The instrument is also adorned with Jackson’s signature styling touches, including all-black hardware, pearloid sharkfin inlays, and a pointed 4-in-line headstock. A blend control and master volume knob offer intuitive, on-the-fly adjustments, making this bass as versatile as it is powerful.

Great and looks badass.

This bass is really fun to play. It can offer a lot of tones which caters more towards metal or rock players but it does not mean it sucks on other tones. Slap is average. The neck is thinner too and allows easier sliding through the frets. Remember, this has 21 frets instead of 24. If you are a Megadeth/Ellefson or just a fan of Jackson and their headstock, this is a must.
