A pleasingly unusual pick with a vintage vibe.
It's said that Django Rheinhart played with a trouser fly button as a pick... This pick is designed to honour that tradition. It's a chunky 1.44mm faux tortoise shell 1" disk that does look good tucked into the strings of my vintage style parlour guitar. Be aware, it can roll a long way when dropped!
It's very rigid with a smooth attack. I'm not too experienced with picks and I found the round shape took some getting used to but it's pleasing all the same. Angle of attack is very critical, I found it tricky to get a consistent sounds at first but the hand soon adapts. I'm not sure this will become my preferred pick but I keep coming back to it so I like it enough that it won't lie idle.

what a riot, someone makes a faux pants button! I love Django but doesn't your grandmom have a tin full of old buttons from the depression era? When iw as going through my Django discovery period I certainly tried a ton of tort, wood, and bone buttons that I got from my grandmother before deciding that I am not Django and that a modern pickw as more for me in a big band setting.
Wes Montgomery is easier to imitate, he just used the fleshy part of his thumb. Unless you've been maimed you can try to play like Wes for free.

Yeah, it's so faux that the holes are just painted on - disappointed.
It does however have Django's face outlined in what looks like medium white sharpie on the b-side which adds to its authenticity. Oh wait, that's mostly rubbed off now - sad.
(star docked for shallow paintwork evoking melancholy at the transience of existence)
