Description

The 20 Tenor Saxophone Tenor by King Musical Instruments

The King Super 20 Tenor Saxophone is one of the most revered vintage American-made saxophones, produced by H.N. White/King Musical Instruments roughly from the mid-1940s through the 1970s.
It’s widely regarded as a top-level professional horn with a rich, powerful sound that blends warmth, projection, and responsive playability traits that made it popular with jazz, R&B, and big-band players. Its signature features include an underslung octave key, carefully balanced tone hole placement, and often a sterling silver neck, all contributing to its distinctive tonal character and ease of blowing.
These instruments feature elaborate bell engraving and high-quality craftsmanship that’s still prized by players and collectors today. Because they were hand-made over decades, individual specs and features can vary by serial number and year, but all share the Super 20’s reputation for musicality and build quality.
