Critic Reviews

KG100HFX Review: I play all form of metal along with blues, jazz, and... | Kustom | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Kustom KG100HFX is a mixed bag, falling short in key areas. While it delivers crystal-clear cleans that impress, the overdrive channel is universally panned as "awful," producing an undesirable, buzzy distortion across various guitars. Its features are basic and limiting, with onboard effects that can't be independently controlled, reducing their usability. Though durable for a solid-state amp, it's not expected to match the longevity of more prestigious brands. Ultimately, this amp is a budget-friendly option that offers a reliable backup, but its tonal limitations mean there are better choices available in its price range.

My New Main Amp

I bought his amp because it was in my price range and seemed like a good fit for my playing just playing at home.

Good Cleans

Really good clean tone. Definitely warm and pairs well with single-coils. The distortion channel is useless.

kindofmadmax

Its loud… thats it

It's good if all you need is volume. The amp distortion is horrendous.
