Description

The Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones 5 String (DJ5) electric bass guitar is a true testament to craftsmanship and musical versatility. Inspired by the signature model of renowned bassist Darryl Jones, this instrument is designed to cater to the needs of both seasoned professionals and aspiring musicians. Its meticulously contoured swamp ash body delivers a rich, resonant tone, while the Lakland Vintage Wound single-coil pickups provide a wide spectrum of sonic possibilities. Whether you're laying down smooth R&B grooves or shredding blistering rock solos, the DJ5 has you covered.

Incredible bass

The best sounding J I've ever played -- although mine came with a custom-wound set of Lindy Fralin pickups the original owner installed (and he also gave me the stock pickups). I dropped a John East DJ-Retro preamp into mine and it is now my #1 beast for on stage. The sweepable mid in the DJ-Retro makes it tunable for every room so it always sounds amazing. And it feels great to play, too!
