Native Instruments' Kinetic Metal is a standout Kontakt instrument offering a unique palette of metallic sounds, from clanging and ringing to otherworldly atmospheres. Its intuitive design and high-fidelity samples make it an inspiring tool for sound designers. However, the morphing gear controls aren't configurable for automation in Ableton Live, which could limit some users. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to any producer's toolkit, especially for those seeking new sonic textures.

Native Instruments Kinetic Metal review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Native Instruments Kinetic Metal is a captivating addition for sound designers using Kontakt, offering an impressive range of high-quality sounds and an engaging steampunk-style interface. Users can enjoy a wide variety of complex timbres crafted from unique metallic sources like swords and cauldrons, combined with synthesized waves. While the interface is both visually and functionally appealing, the inability to create custom instruments might limit some users. Additionally, the sounds, while diverse, can feel somewhat repetitive. Despite these minor drawbacks, its sheer sonic beauty and versatility make it a valuable tool for creative sound design.

Fun. Weird.

It makes nice evolving noises. I like that. But the sound doesn't always integrate well musically. I mean, it makes sounds that are tempting, but don't necessarily evolve according to need. It works better the other way—building out from the evolving Kinetic Metal sounds.
