Critic Reviews

Heavyocity Damage

soundonsound.com

Heavyocity's Damage is an explosive collection of percussive sounds, offering a vast array of hard-hitting loops and single hits ideal for cinematic scoring and modern pop production. Its innovative design allows for extensive sound manipulation with transformative effects like the "Punish" knob, which adds compression and distortion. The library boasts over 30GB of samples, losslessly compressed, serving up epic, ambient, and industrial percussion options. While its complexity might be daunting for beginners, seasoned composers will find its depth rewarding. The main downside is the difficulty in identifying loop components without full Kontakt, but overall, Damage is a powerful tool for sound designers and media composers.

Heavyocity Damage review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Heavyocity Damage offers an impressive array of dramatic percussion, perfect for soundtracks and high-impact projects. With its vast 30GB library, it excels in delivering both tight, cinematic sounds and earthy, organic elements. The intuitive interface, creative loop modification tools, and the standout Punish effect are highlights. However, users might face a learning curve with key controls, and its sounds cater to specific genres. Overall, Damage is a powerful and versatile instrument for those seeking blockbuster-style percussive sounds.

Hard hitting!

These drums are very nice. They have a BIG sound that you can make bigger with Heavyocity's trademark Punish knob. It has 4 different kit sets with a lot of samples and loops which allow for a high level of customization when composing with it. Note: Native Instruments does NOT make Damage. It is made by Heavyocity, but it is sold with Komplete.
