F.K. : Beaucoup ! En état de marche ? Deux tenor saxophones, cinq alto, quatre trompettes, mais j’en ai donné à mes enfants. Le saxophone de mon père ? Je l’ai vendu. Mon premier saxophone venait de lui, c’était un Selmer, mais la marque en a sorti des mieux après. Quand Fela est mort, il m’a laissé un tenor sax, je l’ai échangé contre un autre, un Selmer Super Action 80. Donc je n’ai plus l’original, j’ai la version supérieure. Maintenant je n’ai plus envie d’en changer, même si j’en ai eu l’occasion. Mon sax semble vieux et rouillé mais le son a une histoire, et l’histoire à mon âge est trop importante pour la laisser de côté ! Il fait partie de moi. Je n’en changerai probablement plus jamais."
