Fantasmic Bass! :)

Bought this bass recently, and I have to say it's one of the most comfortable basses I've ever played and held! Very lightweight and compact, it's great for gigs and performing for live concerts. This bass also has a great sound, deep and thumpy (which I've used for recording as well). It has a glossy neck and body finish, so it has a smooth and velvety feeling to it. The frets are evenly spaced and easy to reach for my hands. The tone and volume straight away reminded me of an actual Fender P-Bass (which is also great!). The bass' build quality is very durable and strong. This bass is great for anyone is they would like to have a short scale bass! You must have got the one in a million bass for it to sound good and be playable live. I bought of their basses years ago and it was garbage. The pickups had hardly in wire in them, the bass was so light weight it had no resonance, and the neck was sticky. The pickups were the worst part. So weak sounding, not active controls, and the tone was either on or off. SX, formerly Essex basses, are deserving of their $100 price tags.

@boom762. Which model and year was it? So sorry to hear that though. Mine was just released last year, and over the years I think they have improved their products (that's what I heard when the shopkeeper was selling these basses). But I mean, Fender used to sell a short scale bass, but I don't know why they decided to stop selling them.
