Seriously Good
I took a chance on this bass after playing a Squier Jag Bass in a store, and not digging it. For the $, the SX Ursa 4 is amazing. Finish is really nice - vintage stained neck, dark wood (?) fretboard with (plastic?) inlays - dry, but really playable. Set-up on arrival was great - just adjusted the intonation. Electronics are all good - the pickups are surprisingly good (including the authentically noisy Jazz bridge pup.) I did extensive refinishing on the neck and body, put it back together and it was still great. There was a tiny factory shim in the neck - watch out for it if you disassemble, and make sure it goes back in. Hardware is good - machines are solid - bridge is fine - everything fully adjustable and solid. Only downside is the hideous headstock and graphics. 4 stars?

Serious Play-Doh for bassists
This bass is not the holy grain in any sense, but it is a great platform for customization!! This wood is fine, the sound is way better than you would expect, just the hardware is so so but no issue and do immediately replace the 4 pieces of steel wire. For the money, do yourself a favor and try your favourite color and spice, they are so much fun. Basically a proper beginners bass, but way fun for any bassist to show their skills. Yeah, it's your playing, not your bass... ;) 4 stars go to the value-for-money proposition.
