Sound On Sound praised its flexible analog shaping, useful swept mids, and practical live/studio features like phantom power, pad, ground lift, and routing options. The catch: it’s not plug-and-play perfection. Push the mic-modeling Blend too far and the sound turns dull, so it needs careful tweaking to really shine. Still, once dialed in, it delivers a fuller, clearer direct acoustic sound that the reviewer found convincing enough to make direct recording genuinely appealing.
