This impressive mixing console by Toft Audio is part of Armin Van Buuren's studio. "Great for analogue summing and if you want that special Toft EQ sound."
"In the centre of the studio is my TOFT ATB32 mixer, I’m very happy with it. I love the sound, but the quality isn’t the best and you have to live with some noise and crackles. In the front you see my ATC100 monitors. They took my perspective of sound to another level," Sebastian says, in this article.
“A really wonderful bit of gear. The pots feel like they mean business. Sweeping the low mid-range on the EQ with The Kitten going through it it's just delightful.
The Lady Machine confirmed on Instagram that she is upgrading to the Toft Audio ATB24 Analog Mixing Console. In her post, she stated, "Enjoying the final couple of jams before upgrading the Toft ATB in next few weeks for a 24 channel of the same. This desk has been with me now for almost 7 years (time flies!)."

All soundcrafts owe quite a bit to the Toft TL series opamp designs for trident like the 80b. A 400 series will typically have half the busses and lack dedicated the aux returns (there are exceptions) of an 80b or modern ATB but sounds quite similar, particularly the 4 band swept EQ section. A soundcraft will generally want the power supply beefed up and grounding worked out to supply the beef with studio grade noise performance as it was more intended for live and demo studio use as evidenced by the lack of direct outs on stock examples.
