Description

With a light and resonant, double cut Alder body, the traditionally styled Joe Doe Jailbird feels tight and comfortable. A Hard rock Maple neck, detailed with ‘Surf City’ inlays and Blake’s logo on the back, and shaped into a classic Vintage ‘soft C’ profile, adds to this comfort and positive feel . A 22 medium profile fret Hard Rock Maple fingerboard with abalone dots completes the ensemble to make an incredibly sounding, and playing, guitar.

Pickups are a trio of Joe Doe custom designed Lipstick single coils to give you a set of vintage tones to work from (for best results, mix with a dash of spring reverb), and these are easily manipulated via the single master Volume, two Tone controls, and five-way pickup selector switch - all mounted on a custom designed ‘fin’ pick guard.

The reliable Wilkinson WVC Vibrato bridge keeps things in tune, while Wilkinson WJ55 E-Z-Lok machine heads provide simple, effective action, which when combined with the smooth and friction free Graphtech nut, provide reliable and effective tuning stability. Also included is a Joe Doe luxury hardshell case with case candy, and a Certificate of authenticity included. Each guitar is also individually set-up by the Vintage ProShop team. Hold the guitar flat and look along the body to witness Blake’s divine carving skills - it’s got the profile of a longboard! Choka!
