Critic Reviews

VS6 Review: It’s affordable and has good fretting and finishing. | Vintage | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Vintage SG VS6 emerges as a commendable alternative to pricier models like the Epiphone G-400, boasting a classic SG sound and solid build quality. While the tuning keys might need an upgrade for consistency, the Wilkinson hardware lends a robust feel. Its pickups deliver clearer tones than some competitors, making it suitable for blues and classic rock, though less so for metal. Overall, this guitar punches above its price point, offering an authentic playing experience that feels professional and reliable. A great choice for those seeking a budget-friendly yet capable instrument.

VS6 Review | Vintage | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Vintage SG VS6 impresses with its affordability and quality craftsmanship, featuring good fretting and finishing. It's an excellent choice for rock enthusiasts, offering superb sound and comfort, rivaling pricier models like Epi and Tokai. However, while it performs well across various styles, it's not the top pick for metal players. Overall, the VS6 stands out as a superb option for beginners and intermediate players, making it one of the best in its price range.

Pretty decent for newcomers

My first ever electric guitar, got one of these about 14 years ago and it still sounds as good as the day I bought it. I can't personally compare it to much, but it has a pretty good sound for such a low end/low cost guitar, and should do new players pretty nicely.

My only gripe with the guitar is that it is not always that comfortable when you play it standing. The neck level strap button is not well placed as it is on the back of the guitar (as opposed to being traditionally on the side of the guitar), which (personally) makes the guitar feel less comfortable and stable when I'm playing on my feet.

Excellent SG copy on a budget

I own the 1st version, before the asymetrical redesign. Very light guitar, super fast neck, nice paint job. The original pickups were somewhat weak. I removed them with Gibsons. It's a super deal if you consider spending an extra 200€ for various upgrades (pickups, tuners, etc.)

A pretty good SG copy

Haven't played it much yet. The neck is rather wide for me but it does sound good for slide guitar.
