Description
The Vox Custom 24 is more than just an electric guitar; it's a masterclass in craftsmanship and design that effortlessly bridges the gap between vintage allure and modern playability. Crafted during the early 1980s, this guitar is a rare gem that stands out in any collection. Its neck-through-body design, carved from hard rock maple, ensures exceptional sustain and tonal warmth, making it a versatile choice for any guitarist.
Equipped with a pair of DiMarzio X2N humbucking pickups, the Custom 24 delivers a high-output, aggressive sound that can push your tube amp into pure overdrive. These pickups are complemented by passive electronics designed by master luthier Adrian Legg, offering a three-position pickup selector, individual volume and tone controls, and additional Series/Parallel and In/Out phase switches for unparalleled tonal flexibility.
The guitar's 24-fret maple neck boasts a "C" profile with an ebony fretboard, providing a smooth and responsive playing experience. The brass micro-adjustable Tune-O-Matic style bridge and stopbar tailpiece, along with a brass nut, ensure precise intonation and stability. As a finishing touch, all hardware is gold-plated, adding a touch of elegance to this powerhouse instrument.
Whether you're looking to add a unique piece to your collection or need a reliable workhorse for your gigs, the Vox Custom 24 offers both historical significance and modern reliability in one stunning package.

Superly made and speced Japanese Les Paul Killer
The Vox Custom 24 was part of limited range (including Standard 24, Standard 25 and Custom 25) built for Vox in the Matsumoku factory in 1984/5. These are possibly the best guitars made in that facility and certainly the best produced under the Vox name. Featuring a 24 fret rosewood though-body maple neck on a maple and alder body, with DiMarzio pickups it has almost infinite sustain. Electonics were custom designed by Adrian Legg and feature both phase and split coil switching. A thing of beauty that is also a pleasure to play.
