This Instagram post shows Ians signature bass, which was build for him by the Finnish luthier Saku Vuori. The post states that the bass is a 30 inch short scale in the color Ice Blue Metallic over Shoreline Gold over White light relic finish. Further it says it has a chunky D neck, custom 7.25 to 9.5 radius, walnut board, reversed headstock, stainless frets, custom house wound JazzBar pickups, series parallel operation and a rotary tone switch. It combines the aspects of a Jazz bass, a Bass VI and a Jazzmaster.

Ian can be seen using this bass a lot both live and in studio.
