Description
Unleash the power of precision with the Wavesfactory TrackSpacer, a revolutionary EQ plugin designed for those who demand clarity and depth in their mixes. Unlike traditional sidechain compressors, TrackSpacer offers a 32-band EQ that dynamically carves out frequencies from competing tracks, creating an instantaneous space for your primary sound. This advanced process ensures transparency, allowing each element in your mix to shine without compromising the integrity of your audio.
With TrackSpacer, complex automation and frequency management become a relic of the past. This plugin excels in real-time processing, delivering a seamless experience whether you're working on vocals, solos, or any instrument that needs room to breathe. The intuitive interface features a large, centered knob for easy control over the reduction applied, and additional parameters for those who wish to dive deeper into customization.
TrackSpacer's versatility is further enhanced with features like the Pan control, which allows you to decide where the effect should apply within a stereo field, and Mid/Side mode for targeted frequency carving. The Attack/Release settings provide further flexibility, enabling you to tailor the plugin's responsiveness to suit the mood and dynamics of your track.

Trackspacer has saved my mixes.
I tend to run into phasing issues a lot in my mixes, but setting Trackspacer to 5/10% seems to instantly solve my problems.

I got there in the end
I tried the demo of trackspacer a few years ago, and was really happy with what it did, and bought the full version, but it didn't work. The settings were the same as the demo, so I couldn't understand it. Wavesfactory were great and after I reluctantly asked for a refund, they were really cool about it. A few years later and it just bugged me because I was constantly reading others talking about how great it was, so I tried it again, but this time it works the way it's supposed to, and it's such a great tool. It uses an intelligent 32 band EQ to sidechain, so It would take a long time to do what it does with dynamic EQ and just set up 32 individual bands for starters, before you even talk about sidechaining, so for me, it makes dynamic EQ pretty redundant in a lot of instances. This will get used on every track from now on.

New plug-in
After seeing dBridge and Break mentioning this and explaining how they use it, then seeing a few other producers I like mention it, decided to test it out for myself.

18:50 - when discussing a bass mix, Kove says "Then I have this which is the track spacer, great Plugin"
In this video, Speaker Honey uses Trackspacer to let the kickdrum shine through by ducking certain low end frequencies of the bass. By the looks of it, it does so by acting as a sidechain EQ. Similar, yet also different, plugins would be the Waves F6 or the Ozone Dynamic EQ, and the effect can be achieved by adjusting threshold and range (decrease in volume), ducking the bass when the kick hits. Yet, perhaps there is more magic to the plugin, other than just sidechain EQing.
