The Worng Electronics SoundStage II Stereo Spectral Mixer is an innovative Eurorack mixer that combines stereo placement and spectral shaping into a single intuitive module. Instead of relying on traditional channel controls, it positions sounds within the stereo field and frequency spectrum based on where they are patched, making it easy to create balanced, spacious mixes. Twenty carefully tuned analogue resonant filters help separate voices naturally, while CV-controllable depth and output level provide expressive dynamic control. An integrated stereo FX send and return expands creative routing possibilities, making the SoundStage II equally suited to live performance and studio production. Its unique approach streamlines modular mixing while delivering rich, immersive stereo soundscapes.

WORNG’s SoundStage II is praised as a brilliantly intuitive “patch and play” stereo spectral mixer that makes modular mixes cleaner, wider, and more interesting with almost no fuss. The review loves how its fixed, filtered input layout bakes in smart spatial and frequency decisions, turning mix placement into fast, revealing experimentation rather than tedious EQ work. CV over Depth and Level adds extra creative punch, and the SideCar companion earns points for smooth faders, smart cascading inputs, generous headroom, and cable-friendly layout. The catch: SoundStage II’s fixed architecture won’t suit everyone, it’s not really meant to fill all 21 inputs at once, and there’s no per-channel boost/cut, so extra VCAs are practically required. SideCar also won’t replace a full end-of-chain mixer. Still, the verdict is clear: as a modular mixing secret weapon, this pair delivers.
