A good start
This is a great pedal for trying out sounds and finding your voice as a bassist. Having owned one for a couple of years now though, I am finding I have the urge to move on to individual pedals that can give me a higher level of the same sounds, for example the modulation effects. They do the job, but they reduce the original tone of the bass very badly. In fact, I have found that all of the effects that this provides sound less good than individual pedals, as they seem to tamper with the bass tone to an unpleasant level.

Great Practice Rig
The two things I love about this effects unit are the USB out and the DI out. I can connect straight to my PC and record, or just jam along with PC audio. The DI out is great for live performance, and I can send pre- or post-effects to FOH. I currently use the 160 Comp, always on, and I have a flanger and chorus set up for when I need them.

Very Good Effects
This is a great little unit. As with all Zoom Products, the Dirty Boxes and Amp Sims fall a little short, but the effects are great. Good for Comp, Mod, Filter, Synth, Delay, Reverb, and WEIRD!!! Good Drum Machine, Tuner and Looper included. DI out is always a great added touch. If your a Bass Player that wants to start experimenting with the world of effects, this is a great place to start.

Great tool!
Zoom B3 is a great multi effects for bass. With a well done DSP that becames its emulations very impressive. The cab and amp simulator, when well configurated, sounds very nice. The effects are a little digital feel, but is possible achieve great sounds, using the blend knob. There are a lot of effects, and it comes chraged with some presets by famous bassists. Its a great DI too! I think get some pedals in the near future, but for a while, it's all that i need. Worth what i paid!

A decent pedal for bass
It's kind of annoying that to loop you have to be in a different mode than to switch patches. It means changing patches while looping can be tricky.
I like being able to make a patch beforehand and save it to the board. But, you can't change the patches very much in a live setting.

great tone and good fx
i really liked it when i first purchased it but had to upgrade due to the lack of options it gives you with a max of 3.

Luke Weiler of Positive Mental Trip does enjoy recording with some of the digital effects and amp models in the ZOOM B3. “When not going direct or into some analog MOOG pedals I really enjoy some of the sounds in this ZOOM B3. Like the R24 and the Q8 I also use, I feel like the ZOOM B3 gives you a tone of very use-able bass tones in this unit for the price. Very cool filters and such. I’ve used it more on demos and the new material then the 2017 album but it’s on “The Black and White Album” here and there. I went direct most of that album with the bass but when I used effects it was all the ZOOM B3 at that point in my bass guitar journey.” PMT Luke
