I've used this as my practice amp for years, and it sounds amazing. The headphone out is a huge plus for late night sessions. I've also gigged with it in a pinch, and it still sounded great, especially since you can hook it up to a cabinet.

These sound amazing and have a very good soundstage, at least compared to the other headphones I own. A great introduction to monitor headphones or even audiophile equipment. They feel a bit flimsy though.

I had this pedal for a while. It can sound great, and it can sound like the worst possible thing you can put on your pedal board. I love the fact that it's so crazy you can pick up radio stations on it, but especially for a live setting, it's just way too fidgety and tweakable for a lot of people.
I got this because it was a super-hyped Klon clone at the time. It just didn't do it for me then. Maybe I just found it kind of boring, but I wasn't too knocked out by it. I know a lot of people love it, though.
To be honest, I'm not sure why I got rid of this. I have an El Capistan now and I love it, but I think I got rid of this in the middle of a pedal existential crisis and I regret it now. Has that tasty tape sound.
I've actually owned two of these, at different times. For cheaper guitars, the entire G&L lineup is really high-quality. I've had an ASAT Classic as well as a Legacy, and out of the three, I think I love the Special the most, since the Special has really unique and great-sounding pickups.
